The obverse of the more than 100 years old banknote from China depicts the building of the Maritime Customs Service at the well-known waterside promenade “The Bund” in Shanghai, which was torn down in 1925.
On the reverse, you can see passengers changing from a ship to a train with steam locomotive, horse-drawn carriage and wooden barrels.
