We first met Zazu in the 1994 film The Lion King where he plays an important role as advisor to King Mufasa. Not someone to joke around, Zazu takes his job very seriously - the problem is, others just don’t take him seriously. He’s often the subject of jokes and torment from Simba and Nala, even Mufasa can’t resist the odd joke! Nevertheless, if it wasn’t for his awareness and loyalty to the king, Simba and Nala could’ve fallen victim to the hyenas when they ventured away from Pride Rock.
