We are proud to announce the release of a memorial coin collection honouring the life and legacy of Queen Elizabeth II featuring the official King Charles III effigy.
The Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 2022 10oz Silver Proof Coin features a new portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The design was created by artist John Bergdahl in collaboration with The Royal Mint. The reverse shows Queen Elizabeth II without a crown and with a sprig of laurel and roses. The rose denotes passion and sacrifice, qualities recognised in Her Majesty, who gave her life to the service of her country and its people.
Depicted on the obverse is the first definitive coinage portrait of the monarch, by British sculptor Martin Jenning, personally approved by His Majesty The King. In line with royal and numismatic tradition, His Majesty’s portrait faces left.
