Argentina, 1982, The Falklands War is at Boiling Point. The invasion of the Argentinian forces into The Falkland Islands, or Las Malvinas as recognised by domestic inhabitants of the South American Country sparked one of the most gripping wars of recent times.
Whilst the islands were owned by the British Commonwealth, the Argentinian authorities claimed that they were entitled to control the islands due to a whole host of political and historical reasons. 

Having ruled the islands for over 150 years, the war was sparked when Argentinian forces infiltrated the islands on the 2nd of April 1982. Following a series of fierce battles and strategic plays by opposing sides, the British Forces finally captured the islands on the 14th of June the same year, having gained the high ground in the capital, Stanley.
