Description
In 2007 The Perth Mint started a very popular new series featuring most beloved marsupial the Koala. Annual designs are released of the cute and cuddly koala in its gum tree habitat, which follow on from their very famous Kangaroo and Kookaburra coins.
Introducing the Australian Koala 2022 5oz Solid Silver Proof High Relief Gilded Coin.
This magnificent high relief coin's appealing artistry portrays the iconic native animal dozing on the bough of a tree amid clusters of eucalyptus leaves. With great care and attention to detail, the koala and the coin’s rim have been gilded in the most beautiful 22-carat pink gold. Also on the reverse are the inscriptions ‘KOALA’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, as well as the coin’s weight, purity and year-date.
The coin’s obverse depicts Jody Clark’s effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II above a representation of the first Koala design and the inscription ‘2007 2022’.
To ensure this coin stands out in your collection it comes presented to you in clear display case which showcases the coin perfectly. Along with a certificate of authenticity making it a true collectors item.
Limited to just 500 worldwide, and sold out at The Perth Mint. Do not miss your opportunity to own this special anniversary release.
