2022 marks the 100th anniversary of one of the most important archaeological discoveries ever made. The monumental discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb by British archaeologist Howard Carter.
To commemorate this momentous occasion in history we are proud to announce The 100th Anniversary of the Discovery of Tutankhamun’s Tomb 2022 UK Coin.
The reverse of this beautifully crafted coin is designed by Laura Clancy, featuring a profile of Tutankhamun’s iconic gold mask. Which remained undisturbed for more than 3,000 years! This of course fascinated the world, and ever since has sparked a huge interest in Ancient Egypt.
Depicted on the obverse of edition is Jody Clark's effigy of the late Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, illustrating its legal tender status.
This coin is a must-have for any history lover, and not one to be missed.
